Your fund password

A second password, separate from the one you sign in with, that money has to pass before it can leave your account.

Your fund password is a second secret that you type only when money is about to leave. Your sign-in password is what a phishing page, a leaked password list or a stolen browser session already has. Your fund password is not, so someone who gets into your account still cannot send your money anywhere.

You are asked for it on every withdrawal and whenever you add an address to your withdrawal address book.

Setting it

  1. Step 1: Go to Withdraw in your dashboard.
  2. Step 2: Choose a fund password between 6 and 128 characters. It must be different from your sign-in password. The same password twice is one secret, not two.
  3. Step 3: Confirm with your sign-in password.

Setting it for the first time does not pause anything.

Changing it, or if you have forgotten it

You do not need your old fund password to set a new one. Your sign-in password is enough. That is deliberate: a forgotten fund password should never need a support ticket.

Because the person changing it might not be you, a change pauses withdrawals for 24 hours. We email you the moment it changes. If it was not you, you have that long to contact support before any money can leave.

Too many wrong attempts

After 5 wrong fund passwords in a row, withdrawals lock for 30 minutes and we email you. Each wrong entry tells you how many tries you have left, and a correct one resets the count.

If you need to withdraw sooner, support can lift the lock once they have confirmed who you are, or clear your fund password for you to set a new one. Withdrawals then pause for 24 hours, as they do after any change.

Figures on this page are read from the platform’s current settings. Your dashboard always shows the ones that apply to your account.
